Hello, Goodbye! 11/21/2014

It’s been a long season, starting in early April and now we have only two MGM events left for the year. For this Friday and the next Tuesday Special Market you’ll find us warm, dry, and cozy, INDOORS; at the Parish Hall, located at the rear of the church green. We still have a great selection of meats, baked goods, eggs, and fall produce such as, potatoes, kale, chard, and more. We’re hoping you will come see us, shop for the holidays ahead, say the last of your hellos, and your goodbyes.

We also hope that you’ve had a great time coming to market this season, finding great food and making friends while enjoying the music and sunshine. It seems to have gone by all too quickly. Speaking for all of the vendors, volunteers, and myself; thank you for coming and for keeping it alive. This is what an ongoing community supported project looks like. It makes me proud to be a part of it. We all wish you a great winter; hunker down, stay warm and enjoy all that comes with the seasons. Looking forward to seeing you next spring at the MGM.

Here’s a short but sweet list of scheduled vendors and their products for the week:

Always Somethin’ Farm will be bringing their regular goat milk soap and cream products,  prize winning garlic. Chris and Mike have also prepared gift boxes and garlic braids for great holiday gift ideas. Who wouldn’t want either or both for a nice gift?Screen Shot 2012-09-13 at 1.15.32 AM

Inn to the Seasons will have meat products consisting of pork, lamb, goat, and veal. They’ll be featuring their cheese products: Manicotti, Pierogies, Broccoli Cheese Crepes, Blintzes, Lasagna, and Cheese Cake, all made from goat’s milk. They’ll also have a few cheese spreads and one of the best fudges you’ll ever taste. Bernie tells me that he’ll also have fresh brussel sprouts.

SPECIAL FINAL MARKET, Tuesday, 11/25/2114:

Running bear will not be here this Friday but will be here for the final MGM of the season next Tuesday, 3-6 pm with lots of fresh turkey cuts for the holiday, an assortment of fall produce (KALE), lamb, rabbit, sausage, and chicken cuts. They’ll also have concord grape concentrated syrup in pint containers.

Hope to see you at the MGM between 3-6 P.M., located inside the Saint James Episcopal Church Parish Hall located in Mansfield, Pa. on Wellsboro Street, one block east of the downtown light. Look for our signs.
