Ghost Busting!!! At the MGM 10/31/2014

halloween2

Just in case you missed it, we’ve moved INDOORS  to the Parish Hall, located at the rear of the church green. Although it’s been a wonderful summer for the MGM, filled with great weather and an abundance of produce and all of the other products that you have come to expect from our crew of dedicated vendors, we are excited about this move. It can be a bit grueling when it’s cold and damp outside and you need to basically stand in one place for three hours. We’re hoping that you will  continue to come see us, shop, hang out, and have a great time at the market this and all of the remaining weeks to come. We’ll be inside until mid November with a great selection of meats, baked goods, eggs, maple products, and fall produce like winter squash, pumpkins, potatoes, and more. Come on down for a frightening good time!

There’s rumor of a couple of surprise musical guests, playing an unplugged set. Let’s hope it’s true, because they’re great, local talent. I can’t confirm it but…..just saying.

Here’s a list of scheduled vendors and their products for the week:

Spring Meadow Farm will have great newly dug potatoes, soy free eggs, swiss chard, watercress, and more.

Always Somethin’ Farm will be bringing their regular goat milk soap and cream products,  prize winning garlic, and garlic braids.

Inn to the Seasons will have meat products consisting of pork, lamb, goat, and veal. They will be featuring their cheese products: Manicotti, Pierogies, Broccoli Cheese Crepes, Blintzes, Lasagna, and Cheese Cake, all made from goat’s milk. They will also have a few cheese spreads and one of the best fudges you’ll ever taste.

This will be the last week of the 2014 season for Liz and Linda at Yorkshire Meadows so stop in and check out their goods one last time. They’ll have scones, shortbread, lemon curd and all of the other taste treats that you’ve come to expect when you visit their booth. They will also have spun wool and woolen products for sale. Most of these items and taste treats  will be available by order after this week by contacting Liz at 570-549-2553, woolymum@npacc.net, or friend her on FaceBook at her Yorkshire Meadows page.

Shannon and Erin will be at the Glenfiddich booth with lots of baked goods—breads, cookies, biscotti, etc. They may also have fresh salsa (red and green). If you like a good cup cake or cinnamon bun, stop by their booth, say hello and purchase yourself a wonderful treat.mgm3

Basically Bagels will also be here this week with great bagels and more, including bags of bagel chips and great BIG chocolate chip cookies.

mgm2

Keeney Farm will have our usual fall flair of pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, and ornamental corn. They will also have potatoes, onions, cabbage. Ask Cheryl about blue, pink, and white pumpkins. mgm6

Between Two Rivers will be bringing great maple syrup, maple cream, and other maple treats.

Running bear will be back this week with a large assortment of fall produce, lamb, rabbit, sausage, and chicken cuts. They will also have concord grape concentrated syrup in pint containers. Stop at their table and see what other surprises they might have this week.

We hope that you’ll be able to dodge the ghosts, ghouls, goblins, witches, warlocks, and all of the other things that go bump in the night and make it to the MGM this week.
