Come on In!!! 10/10/2014

Just in case you missed it last week, we’ve moved INDOORS  to the Parish Hall, located at the rear of the church green. Although it’s been a wonderful summer for the MGM, filled with great weather and an abundance of produce and all of the other products that you have come to expect from our crew of dedicated vendors, we are excited about this move. It can be a bit grueling when it’s cold and damp outside and you need to basically stand in one place for three hours. We’re hoping that you will  continue to come see us, shop, hang out, and have a great time at the market this and all of the remaining weeks to come. We’ll be inside until mid November with a great selection of remaining summer produce, meats, baked goods, eggs, maple products, and fall produce like winter squash, pumpkins, apples, potatoes, and more.

Here’s a list of scheduled vendors and their products for the week:

Udder Merry Mac will have great lettuces, herbs, raspberries, and other goodies.

Always Somethin’ Farm will be bringing their regular goat milk soap and cream products,  prize winning garlic, and garlic braids. Chris and Mike tell me that they may have RASPBERRIES again this week. They’ve had them the past few weeks, and they’ve sold out quickly so, if you want them, get there pronto.

Hillstone will be back this week with their quality beef, other meats, and great hot-dogs; you won’t find this type of dog or anything like them in any store.

Herb Corner will be bringing beautiful fall flower arrangements this week. They partner with Keeney Farm for their pumpkins, and the flowers come from their own cutting gardens. They should also have Swiss Chard, fresh cut herbs, tomatoes (red and green), and butternut squash. They will also, for the next two weeks, be selling Liz’s great jams and jellies from Yorkshire Meadows.

Shannon and Erin will be at the Glenfiddich booth with lots of baked goods—breads, cookies, biscotti, etc. They may also have fresh salsa (red and green). If you like a good cup cake or cinnamon bun, stop by their booth, say hello and purchase yourself a wonderful treat.IMG_0225

Basically Bagels will also be here this week with great bagels and more, including bags of bagel chips and great BIG chocolate chip cookies.

Keeney Farm will have our usual fall flair of pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, and ornamental corn. They’ll also have potatoes, peppers, egg plant, onions, cabbage, and a few summer squash. Ask Cheryl about blue, pink, and white pumpkins.

Between Two Rivers will be bringing great maple syrup, maple cream, and other maple treats.

Yorkshire Meadows will not be there the first two weeks of indoor market BUT you’ll be able to pick up Liz’s fine jams and jellies available at THE HERB CORNER  table.

Running bear will be back this week with a large assortment of summer and fall  produce, lamb, rabbit, sausage, and chicken cuts. They’ll also have concord grape concentrated syrup in pint containers. Stop at their table and see what other surprises they might have this week. If you wish to have a great bird on the table for Thanksgiving stop and speak to these folks. They can supply you with a whole or even part of a bird, if you get on their list.cliff

The folks from Bohlayers Orchards will be returning the week with more great apples and pears. While you’re there you might want to ask them about their operation and their natural growing methods.pears

Hope to see you at the MGM located at the Saint James Episcopal Church Parish Hall located in Mansfield, Pa. on Wellsboro Street, one block east of the downtown light. Look for our signs.

Market Manager
