Fridays 3:30pm – 5:30pm
St James Church Parish Hall
HAPPY FALL to all our Faithful Market Customers:
Come and join us this week at our new COSY location inside the St James Church Parish Hall. As vendors we are looking forward to not having to battle with the elements any more, and we thank you for supporting us this summer rain or shine.
This week the Herb Corner will have beautiful chrysanthemums and last week they introduced “pea shoots” which are a great addition to salads. Thanks to Diane for the idea of continuing the market indoors.
Yorkshire Meadows will have the lemon, lime or orange curd to spread on your scones as well as a variety of other baked goods. Don’t worry about the cold weather coming because Liz has you covered with knitted and felted items to keep you toasty warm.
Winter squash, gourds and pumpkins are available from Keeney Farm and garlic is featured at the Always Something Farm table along with wonderful homemade soaps.
Sunrise Farms has peppers and tomatoes. Oh my!! I’m already seeing salads, canned goods and pies adorning your kitchens, made from all these wonderful locally grown items from your friends at the Mansfield Growers Market. I personally have made awesome pickled beets from Spring Meadow’s beets. They will also have kale, chard, savory salad and carrots.
But don’t stop there—we have meats also. Running Bear Farm has ground lamb, sausage, duck, rabbit, chicken and so I’m told a couple more turkeys. They also have a variety of produce.
Darlene from the Cardinal B&B will have raw honey, steakhouse wheat bread, dill casserole bread and biscotti.
When you are all tired out from shopping at the market, Doris Loud will be there to massage your aches away.
Shannon at Glenfiddich Farm cannot make the first indoor market but will return the following week .
We’ll look forward to seeing you on Friday —
