Hello Dear and Wonderful Friends of the Mansfield Growers Market,
This week has snuck up on as we prepare for another Market Friday. Boy Scouts from Troop 106 in Mansfield will be here this week and next week selling popcorn, their main fundraiser.
Our vendors are continuing to bring in fresh produce. Running Bear Farms will have green peppers, tomatoes, brussels sprouts, swiss chard, eggplant, spinach, Napa cabbage, string beans, hot peppers, onions and okra. Always organic and fresh! Spring Meadow Farms will be bringing winter squash (soup season!!), savory salad mix, spinach, watercress, carrots, garlic, peas, kale and swiss chard. Stock up and get ready for the Fall season (which starts this Saturday!). Our dear friends at Always Somethin’ Farms won’t be joining us this week, but rest assured they will be back the following week with more of their garlic and goat soaps (yay!). Stop on by and check out the happenings of Keeney Farms, too. Squash, tomatoes, pumpkins… all sorts of fabulous Fall treats.
As always, our craft vendors will be on hand with warm wools, caps and sweaters, soaps, and home decor. Make sure to make the rounds and support your local artisans. The Herb Corner will be bringing mums, fresh-cut flowers, as well as eggplants, hot peppers, and leeks!
If you are in need of some beef or chicken, stop by and check in with Hillstone Farm. Toy Cow has got you covered on the dairy front offering a fine choice of cheese, raw milk, yogurt and the likes. They will also have homemade potato chips! YUM!
Yorkholo will be serving up pulled chicken sandwiches on the hot cart (chickens courtesy of Running Bear Farm) and cupcakes, a la Ashley York! Make sure you stop by and fill up!! Music will be provided by Houston Baker Stay awhile and enjoy your sandwich while listening to a local and very talented artist.
The market is always a blast, and with the summer season winding down, make sure you stop on by. Friday 3-6 pm on the grounds of St. James Church on Route 6 one block east of Main Street. Rain or shine!
