Hello Dear and Wonderful Friends of the Mansfield Growers Market,
What a beautiful week we’ve had, and now we get to end it with another fabulous market! How lucky are we?!
More produce will be available from our vendors! Eggplant, carrots, green peppers, tomatoes, squash, string beans, celery, potatoes, leafy green likes swiss chard and salad mixes, onions, peas, okra, garlic and more! Check with our Spring Meadow Farm, Running Bear Farm, Keeney Farm, Starbright Farm, Always Somethin’ Farm, Utter Merry Mac Farm, and Sun Rise Farm! How refreshing!
Don’t let the call of the produce fool you, there is LOTS to be had at the Mansfield Growers Market. Everything from grass-fed beef and pork to chicken, rabbit, and lamb. Just ask Hillstone Farm and Running Bear! There are also breads, bar-b-que sauce, and bagels (did you catch that alteration?)! Scones, soaps, and soy candles (yep… I did it again). Jewelry, jams, and jars filled lemon and lime curd (oh my! I better stop while I’m ahead!). Milk (raw or chocolate), yogurt, cheese, and potato chips! Everything your heart could ask for! The Herb Corner will be bringing tomatoes, leeks, baby eggplant, Italian flat beans and a new frying pepper (sweet) called Jimmy Nardello. They will also have fresh cut herbs as well as cut flowers and a few plants.
Please note that Glenfiddich Farm will not be at the market this week, but will return next week. Also Lee’s Bees won’t make it because Lee is busy as a bee with opening days at MU. However, Recycled Diva is swooping in to save the day with amazing tie-dyed reusable shopping bags, wind-chimes, garden benches and chairs, and more beautiful crafts from re-purposed items. Yeah!
Although there will be no hot cart this week (it’s okay, don’t cry), there will be Art@theMarket there to craft things up, so bring the kids! Jakob’s Hollow will be providing the music, and we just love them! Stop for a moment, close your eyes and let the music move you. Dancing is always welcome and we strongly encourage it!
We can’t wait to see you!! So come on out for fresh food—grown by your friends! Friday 3-6 pm on the grounds of St. James Church on Route 6 one block east of Main Street. Rain or shine!
