Hello Friends of the Mansfield Growers Market!
Another week has passed and there’s a whole lot to look forward to at this weeks market!
The YMCA will be hanging out with us this week so make sure to bring the kids along for a fun-filled day of activities, as well as lots of information on the YMCA’s summer camps. We will also have plenty of great music courtesy of Folk Spirits. Enjoy their tunes under the music tent as well as throughout the whole of the market!
St. James will be selling their curried cream of celery soup this week! It sounds so delish, I know I will be picking up a quart (or two)! And keep an eye out for fresh strawberries! They pair perfectly with breakfast or dessert and anything in between.
Running Bear Farm will have assorted meats (lamb, chicken, rabbit, and duck eggs) as well as some crisp produce: swiss chard, baby carrots, peas, snow peas, and kohlrabi! Yum! Spring Meadows will have their usual salad greens, spinach, chard, and this week they have garlic scapes! They will also have chicken eggs.
There will be lots of other food items available: breads, bagels, cookies, jams, cheese, fresh milk, raw milk, beef products etc. There are also plenty of crafts, plants, and soaps, too! Make sure to visit all the vendors to see what they have available. And who knows, we might even get lucky this week and have a visit from Chip, the goat from Always Somethin’ Farm!! Oh, what joy! He is absolutely too cute!
Night & Day will be back as well, with fresh roasted coffee, iced tea and coffee goodness, as well as some of their baked goods. Also back this week is the Herb Corner! How nice, because we always miss our vendors. 🙂 On the hot cart this week is Papa V’s cooking up some veggie burgers and hot and sweet sausage sandwiches! They will also have water and soda available. It is going to be crazy delicious!
Don’t forget, if you are hungry for market updates you can always keep an eye on our Facebook page. It is a public page so you DO NOT have to be a Facebookuser to enjoy it. (Click on the link to go to the FB page!)
We always have so much fun, so come on out for fresh food—grown by your friends! Friday 3-6 pm on the grounds of St. James Church on Route 6 one block east of Main Street. Rain or shine!
See you there!
