Signing Up New Vendors Now!

We are getting applications in from vendors new and returning, but there is still room for more. If you grow or craft products within 50 miles of Mansfield (as the crow flies), we hope you will consider applying. St. James Church, on Route 6 one block east of Main Street, is the site of the market, which in 2012 will run 3-6 pm the first Friday in May to the last Friday in September.

Highlights of the weekly market include live music, kids activities, and supper fresh from the hot cart. Shoppers find a wide variety of local fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, flowers, seedlings, fresh herbs, maple products, honey, dairy products, baked goods, preserves, and farm-based or other high quality craft items.

The Mansfield Growers Market was established in 2009. We are especially looking for high quality crafts and products to enhance our festival atmosphere—like Kettle Korn or roasted peanuts. And we always have room for more growers.

Many of the current vendors at Mansfield also participate in other markets, such as the ones in Troy and Wellsboro. In fact, there is a discount for vendors that apply for both the Wellsboro Farmers Market and Mansfield Growers Market. At Mansfield, vendors have the option of signing up for 1-5, 6-13, or 14-22 market days. Potential vendors with questions concerning state regulations, insurance, etc. are encouraged to contact market managers, who are happy to work with small producers and first-timers.

Guidelines, applications, and more information are available by contacting Dan Styborski at 570-662-2766 or dstyborski@gmail.com. To RSVP for the potluck meeting February 10, please contact Lilace Guignard at 570-404-4666 or lilacemellin@gmail.com. St. James Church is located at 30 E. Wellsboro Street. Vendor applications must be completed by March 7, 2012.
