About Us!

The Mansfield Growers Market, organized by St. James Episcopal Church, consists of 25 vendors, a large management team, 23 sponsors, and a myriad of community folks volunteering their time to entertain and educate. That’s who we are.

What we are is a good time, every Friday, 3 pm to 6 pm, April 29 thu October 14, 2011

Where we are is the church grounds, 30 E. Wellsboro St., one block East of Main Street, Mansfield, PA.

Why we’re here is to grow community through better health, environmental sustainability, and economic stability.

Objectives: To provide fresh food and local products to our community; to create opportunities for local farmers, market gardeners, and producers of farm, kitchen, and craft products to thrive; to support the local economy; to provide an alternative to Wal-Mart during the growing season; to educate the community about sustainable agriculture and good nutrition; to welcome FMNP coupons; to provide a festive weekly event which brings people together.

Products: Fresh produce, cut flowers, herbs, honey, maple syrup, soaps, baked goods, beef, pork, bison, poultry, eggs, milk, cheese, garden art, jams, homemade soup, and more.

Each week, in addition to what’s for sale, we offer a different mix of educational booths, activities for kids, music, and hot food. Everything from learning how to sharpen your reel lawnmower and composting tips to petting baby alpacas and getting free five minute massages.

Come shop at your truly local grocery store!

I am looking forward to Friday! Can’t wait to see what is available this year! I again will offer to any of the vendors a personal article in my blog. It would be interesting to visit each producer and photograph/write about what they do, how they do it, and why they do it.

We can’t wait either. Contact the vendors at the market to make your offer. They don’t tend to check the market website.
